Have you ever had one of those days where youv’e been caught off guard, sh*t hits the fan. You’re stupid busy and next thing you know you’re at home, plonked on the couch with a pizza and can of coke in front of you.
The day got away from you, you missed a meal or two along the way, you were snacking on crap and when you got home the last thing you wanted to do was cook, so you ordered in.
It happens to all of us. But how you react to this event is very important when weight loss is the goal.
I feel shit after that. Why did I order pizza? Im so lazy. I can never stick to a diet. I’ve no control. I’ve undone the whole week now. This thought process continues into the next few days and you end up saying;
If weight loss is a goal of yours please understand that it’s a process. Perfection isn’t the goal, consistency is. Expect there to be a slip up or two along the way. Just remember not to overreact when it happens. Focus on the good work you’ve done to date, and understand that one meal won’t wipe any progress out. Just focus on your next meal, make sure it ties in with your goal and kick on again.
Consistency, not perfection.
