Our Team

Philip Byrne


With over 15 years in the health and fitness  industry, Phil brings a welath of knowledge and experience to our team.


Phil has always had a keen interest in sport, following in his father’s footsteps by carving out a professional career in soccer, right here in Ireland. 

He played League of Ireland football for almost 15 seasons, and spent a short stint towards the end of his career playing in the Northern Irish league. Phil’s career highlight was winning the FAI Cup, coupled with promotion to Ireland’s top tier, with new boys - Sporting Fingal F.C. 


Alongside his football, Phil pursued a career in the Health & Fitness industry. His experience as a professional athlete is what gave him an edge. His determination and willingness to succeed saw him obtain a managerial role within one of Dublin’s more exclusive health clubs - The Arena Health & Fitness Club, Malahide.


After 14 years with The Arena, Phil decided to take his experience and bring it over to Ciarán Foy Personal Training.

Cathal Redmond


Cathal is a qualified Personal Trainer and certified Amateur Boxing coach with over 8 years experience in the health and fitness industry.



At a young age Cathal became heavily involved in sport. He followed a family tradition into the sport of Amateur Boxing. Throughout his teens he competed at the highest level nationally and represented Ireland on several occasions. Throughout his boxing journey he worked with many of the countries top coaches, leading him to pursue an interest in optimal health and fitness.



After having availed of the services of a Personal Trainer for a time, Cathal decided this was a career path that he wished to pursue. He is an EHFA Certified Personal Trainer, a level 1 Functional Movement Screen (FMS 1) Practitioner and is also a certified Kettlebell and TRX instructor. He has also completed Strength and Conditioning mentorships and other performance related courses to offer a wider array of services to potential clients. Currently, he is in the final stages of completing his level 1 Precision Nutrition Certificate furthering his knowledge of nutritional science.


Cathal endeavours to assist clients in making sustainable changes to their lifestyle to achieve their individual goals.
