5 Weight Loss Tips For 2018

Start Losing Weight Now


We're approaching 2018 and many of you have marked weight loss as a priority.

Here are my top 5 tips on how to achieve your goals in 2018.


1. Seek Professional Help.

If you've tried to lose weight in the past but failed, seek the help of an experienced professional. You won't regret it. Their advice, methods and support are worth the investment.

2. Avoid low calorie / liquid diets.

Yes you'll lose weight, no it won't last. A good diet is enjoyable and allows for "your something nice". Calorie restrictive diets aren't sustainable and always result in a weight gain once normal calorie intake is resumed.

3. Commit to something long-term.

Nothing long term is gained in the short term. Short term weight loss plans have a tendancy to focus on unsustainable low carb diets, and intense training schedules. If you want to lose weight and lose it for good, then commit to long term, simple changes. You'll reap the rewards.

4. Don't go it alone.

Find a friend with the same goal and work towards it together. Tell somebody close to you, husband, friend, family member, etc. what you want to achieve and ask them for support.

5. Accountability.

You're less likely to fail if you've somebody to report to on a weekly basis. This form of ongoing assessment will help keep you motivated when you feel the urge to retreat to old ways.
